How To Control And Improve The Quality of LED Full - color Display Screen

 The display effect of the full - color LED display screen is directly related to the user and the audience , and the quality of the LED display screen needs to be controlled and improved . So, how to control and improve the quality of LED full-color display? What is the important index to reflect the special LED quality of full color LED display?

  There are three reasons for LED devices as the most critical components of a full-color LED display:

First of all, LED is the most widely used key devices in the whole full-color screen, per square meter will use thousands to tens of thousands of LEDs.

Secondly, LED is the main body that determines the optical display performance of the whole screen, which directly affects the audience's evaluation of the display screen. 

  Thirdly, LEDs account for the largest proportion of the overall cost of the display screen, ranging from 30% to 70%. The choice of the LED determines the quality of the entire display screen by more than 50%. If the LED is not well selected, the other components of the display screen will not be able to make up for the defects in the quality of the display screen.

  The main indexes to reflect the special LED quality of full-color LED display screen are as follows:

  I . Loss of efficiency

The full-color display is composed of tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of groups of red, green and blue LED, the failure of any color LED will affect the overall visual effect of the display. In general, according to industry experience, failure rates should not exceed 3/10000 before the LED screen is assembled until 72 hours of aging (refers to failure caused by the LED device itself).

Ⅱ. Anti-static ability

LED is a semiconductor device, which is sensitive to static electricity and easy to cause electrostatic failure, so the anti-static ability is very important to the life of display screen. Generally speaking, the failure voltage of human body electrostatic mode test of LED should not be lower than 2000V.

III. Consistency

Full-color display screen is composed of countless red, green and blue LED elements. The consistency of brightness and wavelength of each color LED determines the brightness consistency, white balance consistency and chromaticity consistency of the whole display screen. Generally speaking, the display screen manufacturers require the supplier to provide the 5nm wavelength range and the brightness range of 1: 1.3, which can be graded by the device supplier through the spectrometer. The consistency of the voltage is generally not required.

Ⅳ. Brightness

LED brightness is an important determinant of the brightness of display screen. The higher the brightness of LED, the larger the margin of using current, which is beneficial to saving power consumption and maintaining the stability of LED. LED has different angle values. When the brightness of the chip is fixed, the smaller the angle is, the brighter the LED is, but the smaller the viewing angle of the display is. Generally, we should choose 100° LED to ensure that the screen has sufficient viewing angle. A balance should be found between brightness, angle and price for display screens with different pitch and range of view.

V. Attenuation characteristics

  Red, green and blue LED all have the characteristics of brightness attenuation with the increase of working time. The decaying speed of LED is determined by the quality of LED chip, the quality of auxiliary material and the level of packaging technology. Generally speaking, the attenuation of red LED should be less than 10% and that of blue and green LED should be less than 15% after lighting up test at room temperature of 1 000 hours, 20mA. The consistency of red, green and blue attenuation has a great influence on the white balance of full-color LED display, and then affects the display fidelity.
